For those of you not able to attend the Sunday, May 22, 2011 screening of JHP’s The Sad Cafe at the Portage Theatre in Chicago, let me just say that you missed out on a truly enjoyable viewing experience and your presence was missed. The crowd was overwhelmingly enthusiastic and numbered, at the minimum, in the high four hundreds! The atmosphere in the theater was electrifying, the Portage itself a gorgeous venue rich in history and the gracious cast and crew of The Sad Cafe were well-deserving of the roaring applause they received.
